The Careers Fair is a friendly and informal event that will take place at Fitzwilliam in mid-November 2017.
The Fair is now an annual event which is popular with Fitz students, and around 40 alumni attended in 2016. The students gain a lot from the opportunity to chat with alumni in a laid-back setting, and one student who attended in 2016 praised the "unintimidating environment with lots of really friendly and helpful alumni" and the fact it was "a relaxed way to have insightful discussions about potential careers". The Fair is a great way to meet "engaged, intelligent and enthusiastic" students, as one alumnus commented, and to network with fellow alumni. It also provides an opportunity to find interns or recruits.
Alumni from all career backgrounds are invited to the 2017 Careers Fair, whatever career path they have taken. In fact, the more diverse the range of careers represented, the more valuable the Fair is to the students. It’s also a great opportunity for alumni to find potential new recruits or interns. The Fair will take place in the Dining Hall on a Saturday afternoon in mid-November, and will be followed by a special drinks reception and buffet in the SCR.
Please get in touch with the Development Office if you are interested in attending or have any questions.
