Graduate Tutorial team
A supportive and friendly team of Tutors and Office staff to respond to your non-academic needs whilst in Cambridge, and to help you with negotiating all aspects of College and University Administration.
The Graduate Tutors
All graduate students are allocated a Graduate Tutor. Students meet their Tutor formally in their first term at Cambridge. After that, appointments are made as needed. Your Tutor is responsible for your general welfare in Cambridge, and is a good source of advice and information.
For more information on the role of a graduate tutor see 'Cambridge Colleges - a Guide for Graduate Students'.
The best way to contact your Tutor is via email. If it is very urgent and you cannot get hold of your tutor this way, please contact the Tutorial Office via email, or phone Sue Free (01223 332035)
Fitzwilliam Graduate Tutors
Dr Chirico is on sabbatical leave for the academic year 2017–18.
The Tutorial Office is found on L staircase. Those staff working particularly with graduate students are:
Sue Free | Graduate Officer | email
Sue is the main contact for graduate student admissions, and also for much of the College administration for graduate students. She can help students to negotiate their way through the University administration system, and will know who to talk to if further assistance is required.
Diane Pickles | Accommodation Officer | email
Diane allocates the accommodation and keeps the waiting lists for those who want to change rooms. Together with the MCR she manages the graduate housing ballot, so she will also be the one to discuss your room requirements for the next year.
Tereza Svecova | Tutorial Officer | email
The first contact for organising graduations, and for visa monitoring. She also assists Sue with matriculation, student certification letters and various College awards. She manages CamCORS (the undergraduate supervision system), so if you are supervising and need any assistance in using the system, she is the person to see.
