Dmitri Shostakovich (1906 -1975) was an intriguing giant of 20th century music. The Master, Nicola Padfield, will discuss his musical legacy with Alan George, a founder member of the Fitzwilliam String Quartet (FSQ), and Russian and Soviet music expert Professor Marina Frolova-Walker, Reader in Music History and a Fellow of Clare College, where she is also Director of Studies in Music.
