Workshop for Young Violinists - with Akiko Ono
As part of the Menuhin Centenary celebrations in 2016 Fitzwilliam College has been delighted to re-establish a relationship with Akiko Ono who first visited the College in the early 1990s as one of Menuhin’s students taking part in the chamber music workshops held at the College.
As part of the Akiko Ono Music Space Summer School (July 15 - 22, 2017), Akiko Ono and Fitzwilliam College are offering a unique chance for young violinists to work with Akiko Ono in a free workshop and informal performance for parents.
Akiko Ono is a prize-winning violinist who debuted with Yehudi Menuhin and the Essen Philharmonic Orchestra. She has performed regularly throughout Europe, North America and Asia, and teaches at the Guildhall in London and the Yehudi Menuhin School
