Permanent lectureships for two Fellows

Dr Christopher Cowie and Dr Alice Evans have been offered permanent lectureships at Durham University and King’s College London, respectively.

Dr Christopher Cowie, Philosophy Fellow, will be lecturing on Moral and Political Philosophy at Durham University from September onwards. He is leaving Fitzwilliam College two years into a Research Fellowship having initially come here for a PhD back in 2010. Following his appointment, Cowie said: “I am looking forward to getting started at Durham, but I’ll certainly miss Fitz. I am grateful to everyone who has helped me during my time here.”

Dr Alice Evans, Geography Bye-Fellow, will be joining the Department of International Development at King’s College London. She is leaving Fitzwilliam after two years as one of the College’s Geography Director of Studies. "I'm excited to join King's College London, and looking forward to interdisciplinary collaborations and debates, but will very much miss the wonderful community at Fitz - especially their kindness and collegiality,” said Alice.
