Telephone fundraising campaign begins
Fourteen Fitzwilliam students are gearing up to call alumni in this year’s telephone fundraising campaign, which will take place from 20 March to 3 April.
During the campaign the students will speak to hundreds of alumni, and the donations made will go towards the Bursary Fund and the Teaching Fund. The first assists students who need financial support, and the second ensures that all students receive small group supervisions led by world-leading academics.
The telephone campaign is popular with the students, who appreciate the opportunity to speak to alumni and often receive valuable careers advice. Josh Briegal (Physics 2012) comments: “I’ve been a caller twice, which says something about how engaging the campaign is. It was such fun to talk to alumni about their time at Fitz. I’d recommend that all members of Fitzwilliam, both past and present, get involved in the campaign. It’s a great way to help the College to continue to provide a world-class education to all students.”
Last year’s campaign raised more than £200,000 for the College over the next three years, the most ever donated.
We wish this year’s callers the best of luck, and would like to thank alumni for their generosity.
