Fitz and Cambridge United Open Day

09 March 2024 | 10:00 - 12:00 |
Fitzwilliam College

What is it?

Fitzwilliam College will be running an open day in conjunction with Cambridge United on Saturday 9th March. The College will be open between 10am and 12pm for informal tours which will provide attendees with opportunities to speak to current students and learn more about life at a Cambridge college. Attendees will then be given tickets to the Cambridge United vs Northampton Town football match which starts at 3pm at the Cledara Abbey Stadium in Cambridge.

Please note that the tickets are for the standing area of the stadium.

Who is it for?

This event is for students in Year 12 or equivalent who are studying at a school in Cambridge or the local area. Attendees are encouraged to bring family members to both the open day and the football match; we can provide up to 4 match tickets per attendee. If the event is over-subscribed, priority will be given to those who meet the widening participation criteria set out below.

We also have tickets available for local teachers; if you are interested then please contact outreach@fitz.cam.ac.uk.

How can I apply?

If you would like to join in the open day and request tickets for the match, please complete the form here. The deadline for completing this form is 4pm on 6 March 2024.

Event details

Attendees can park at Fitzwilliam in the morning, but there is no parking available at the Cledara Abbey Stadium. There is a Park and Ride on Newmarket Road, which has buses to the stadium every ten minutes.

If you are travelling by public transport, we can offer advice on how to travel between Fitzwilliam and the stadium on the day.
