BA, MPhil, MA, PhD
After a PhD (Corpus, 2003) and JRF (Emmanuel, 2008), during which she studied medieval philanthropic investment in the arts, Nicola decided to switch the theory of philanthropy for practice. She worked for ten years in educational fundraising (Pembroke, Robinson) and joined Fitzwilliam as Fellow Development Director in 2016.
In March 2020, she assumed responsibility for internal and external communications at Fitz, and in December 2020 moved permanently to the newly-created role of Director of Communications and Engagement. Nicola is responsible for College communications, events and public engagement activities, and co-ordinates the FITZ+ programme. She currently sits on GB, College, Admissions, Communications, Development, E&D, Fine Arts & Fabric, GPC and the Fitzwilliam Society Committees.
She is also a Governor at Colfe’s School.
Colleagues, students and alumni are encouraged to contact Nicola with details of any upcoming events that you would like to promote (or propose!) on communications@fitz.cam.ac.uk
