I was an Associate Professor in Criminal Justice at UCL when I moved to take up a University Lectureship in Criminal Justice at Cambridge in 2018, and soon afterwards a Fellowship at Fitzwilliam.
I lecture in Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Evidence and supervise various dissertations; and from 2019 I will supervise students at Fitzwilliam in criminal law and (should they so elect) criminal procedure and evidence.
Details of my research interests can be found on my departmental website, including the research network Criminal Law Reform Now, which I co-direct.
Outside academia, I hold the FM title in chess and to my great surprise, was listed as number 40 in the country on the grading list of 2017.
