I am a supervisor in medieval language and literature, and teach English Literature and Its Contexts 1300-1550 for the Tripos. An Anglo-Saxonist by training, I am currently researching representations of childhood in Anglo-Saxon England with a particular interest in the depiction in literary and visual terms of the Nativity. My wider research interests include investigating the links between text and image in the late Anglo-Saxon period. I am also starting to explore the intersections between Anglo-Saxon culture and postcolonial studies through the history of the book.
I am looking forward to taking an active part in the Fitzwilliam Literary Society and am interested in becoming involved with any aspects of access and outreach work undertaken by Fitzwilliam.
