Human, Social And Political Sciences (HSPS)
Course Overview
If you want to study politics, international studies, sociology, and social anthropology at Cambridge, this is the course for you. HSPS offers a wide-ranging approach to the social sciences, with flexibility and the option to specialise. Most students take one paper in the four main areas of the degree during their first year, and then have to choose one or two tracks as their focus during the second and third years. HSPS at Cambridge is unique for this combination of a broad approach and the gradual building of subject-specific expertise, allowing students to specialise in those areas that interest them the most whilst ensuring they acquire a capacious conceptual and applied toolkit.
