Andrea is Lecturer in Thermofluids at Imperial College London, Department of Mechanical Engineering. He is Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Spray and Combustion Dynamics (SAGE publications). He leads a research group in multi-physics reacting flows and engineered fluids, where the combination of electromagnetic interactions and nanomaterials is explored as a new paradigm for the control of chemical reactions and fluid structures towards sustainability in the energy, transportation and aerospace sectors. His research focuses on the development and use of numerical methods for the investigation of a wide range of scales, from molecular dynamics and quantum mechanics to continuum. He became a Bye-Fellow of the College in 2017 and he is currently supervising first-year undergraduates in Engineering.
