Dr Emilia Arguello
Research Associate
Emilia is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology. She is currently developing new chemical methods to study changes in RNA viral structure during infection. This structural information can help us grasp how RNA viruses rearrange and repackage their genomes during replication, which, in turn, is crucial for understanding the mechanisms of viral infections. At work, Emilia is happiest when learning new techniques, learning about RNA, and thinking about the chemistry behind things.
